Detoxification is basically based on nourishing your body, while also releasing the toxins accumulated in it. Here is a simple and extremely effective way, say nutritionists, to detoxify your body: detox soup! We’ve gathered some useful information on how it’s done, what it’s based on and what the benefits are!
When you think of detox, you probably think of foods that are easy to digest and rich in nutrients. Soups and teas are rich in nutrients and minerals necessary for cell regeneration.
It is recommended that you consume the soup six times a day during this three-day detox plan. Detox is not about starving or counting calories, but rather about feeding your body the nutrients it needs to recover and regain strength.
Prepare the soup base in advance so that you have enough for six servings a day for the next three days.
The perfect vegetables for winter feeding are: onions, beets, carrots, cauliflower, spinach, any dark green leaves and root vegetables in general.
How is it prepared?
You can use bone soup or miso as a base. Chop the desired vegetables and add them to the already prepared base in a saucepan. The mixture will then be brought to a boil and left to boil until the vegetables are tender. Then, using a hand blender or high-powered blender, blend the vegetables and blend until smooth and creamy. Pureed soups are much more digestible, so this makes the detox treatment extremely effective!
Consume one serving of soup six times a day. If you feel you need to eat more, add another serving or two until you feel satisfied.
If you feel dehydrated during the soup detox, consume a cup of water with the juice of half a lemon and a teaspoon of honey or a cup of coconut water to restore minerals.
It is also recommended when detoxing with soup turmeric tea. You can drink this tea as a substitute for your morning coffee. This tea is anti-inflammatory, strengthens digestion and stimulates the immune system.
